Venue: Athenry Community Hall, Clarke St, Athenry

open eir, the wholesale network division of eir, is investing over €30 million to roll out high speed broadband throughout Co. Galway.  The rollout is part of a national investment of over €400 million, and will mean over 100,000 homes and businesses across Galway will be able to receive high speed fibre broadband when the programme completes in 2020.

As part of our on-going engagement with communities both large and small, urban and rural, across the country, eir CEO Richard Moat along with open eir’s team will be visiting Athenry Community Hall, Clarke St, Athenry, Co. Galway at 11.00am Thursday 19 May to update businesses, community leaders, chambers, associates, Councillors and TDs on our committed rollout plans and the benefits high speed broadband brings to businesses and the local community.  In addition, we will be outlining our plans with regard to supporting Government with the National Broadband Plan.

This event is part of open eir’s commitment to delivering broadband to rural Ireland, and updating the communities. Information about further events will be posted on fibrerollout.ie.
